There is a movement amongst many tribal peoples in the United States to revitalize their culture; they are recovering their language, songs, stories, land management, among other cultural components. Traditional games and sports are part of this cultural revival. Hoop-and-pole, peon, kayaking, and several other games and sports are beginning to be reintroduced, especially to the younger generations.
