In keeping with its mission to inspire people to learn about the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians and other Native cultures, the Museum holds two major special events each year, in addition to cultural festivals, exhibition opening receptions, and a variety of lectures and classes.
Every October, Dinner in the Canyons - the Museum's premier fundraising event - is held under the stars in spectacular Andreas Canyon. The evening begins with a cocktail reception followed by a three-course dinner, Native entertainment, and a live auction. Guests enjoy the sights, sounds, and cuisine of Native peoples at this enchanting event.

In March, the Museum presents the Festival of Native Film & Culture at Camelot Theatres in central Palm Springs. Feature, documentary, and short film screenings entertain, educate, and inspire audiences. Special opening- and closing-night receptions offer opportunities to meet the stars, filmmakers, and other celebrities.
